The Card and Payment Services Division is operated through MBF Cards (M'sia) Sdn Bhd ("MBF Cards"). MBF Cards is a leading player in the Malaysian credit card industry and is now the 13th largest issuer out of 22 players in the market and is ranked third out of 11 acquirers in the merchant acquiring business.

MBF Cards commenced operations in July 1987 with a licence from MasterCard International and in June 2001 was the first mono-line and non-bank institution to be awarded a Visa card licence in Malaysia and the Asean region. On 30 June 2006 MBF Cards was granted a licence by the Central Bank of Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia to issue credit cards via its own line of credit on 3 October 2006.

MBF Cards is actively and consistently improvising its products and services to increase its cardmember and merchant base. MBF Cards continues to offer value propositions for its existing and potential cardmembers by offering services and aspirational products via the Xtreme Deals catalogue at affordable and much discounted prices directly to cardmembers on zero percent interest installment plan.

Today, MBF Cards has an authorized share capital of RM10 million and paid-up capital of RM5,265,000, with a total of approximately 300,000 customer base, of which an approximate 295,000 cards in circulation (CIC), 889 staffs, an extensive merchant network of 36,000 merchants and a nationwide network of 28 branches, inclusive of Sabah and Sarawak. It was accredited with the ISO 9002 certification in 1995.
